Joni Lynn Tomasetti
Columbine Valley, Colorado - United States

Joni Lynn Tomasetti is a native of Wyoming, currently residing in Colorado. She's known for capturing the natural beauty of her surroundings in her paintings. Prior to becoming a full-time artist, Tomasetti attended the University of Wyoming where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration. After graduation, she worked as a Flight Attendant while pursuing her lifelong passion as an Artist. During this time, she studied with numerous respected Artists, both nationally and internationally. Her studies took her to Florence, Italy where she studied watercolors at Bottega Del Acquaforte under Massimo Biacchi. Prior to leaving United Airlines, she earned her M.F.A. in Visual Arts from Vermont College at Norwich University in Montpelier, Vermont. Since becoming a full-time Artist, her works have been collected by both corporate and private patrons.

Joni Lynn Studio/Gallery is run out of Tomasetti's home located at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Columbine Valley, Colorado. Although her subject matter is vast, her most popular works include architectural and native landscapes inspired by her travels. Her work has a distinctive style that captures characteristics of abstract art and realism. Her best pieces speak through the tension of interlocking shapes and colors. Tomasetti enjoys the complexity of making her art seem effortless. Her mission is to inspire others to collect original works of art. Some of her current pieces can be seen at Philinda Gallery in Edwards, Colorado, Joni Lynn Studio/Gallery in Columbine Valley, Colorado and online at

Tomasetti continues to pursue her passion for travel with her family, where she continuously gathers new material for her expressionistic works. She has been juried into countless competitions in Colorado and other locales. Jurors have said that she "has a discerning eye and masterfully handles watercolors". Her work has been described as "full of vibrant colors", "reaches beyond the edge" and she's been deemed as an artist who is "willing to take chances with her colors".

My paintings are varied interpretations of visual memories taken from my native homeland, international travels and from my personal life. They celebrate nature, and the ambiance of my surroundings. Through the expressionistic use of bold colors I hope to move the audience by bringing dimensions of abstract and realism into one unparalleled and synergistic work of art.
